A well-written article in the Tucson Weekly about Tucson frame builder Andy Gilmour. Anybody who rides long enough in The Old Pueblo ends up in Andy’s shop at one time or another. The image above, my 1969 Lejeune, has a fork that Andy aligned and straighten for me on his Marchetti and Lange table. One quote from the story, “he’s built more than 5,000 frames since beginning in ’74.” That’s a lot of bikes, and “institutional knowledge” as-they-say, no matter how you slice it.
